Are you a college student who has played on a team, 1) wants to earn money and 2) generate a following from appearing in videos that teach training tips and techniques?
CampusAthletes.com is a new knowledge sharing site that allows former and current athletes to share sports fundamentals with others. Our "How-to" videos are short 1-2 minute videos that teach a sports technique or give advice on choosing the best training gear.
...And we want you to appear in short, informative sports training videos we will soon create for our site.
If chosen, you will be invited to a professional video shoot - at which you will physically demonstrate or verbally explain sports fundamentals on camera.
Imagine being part of a professional video shoot: professional lights and microphones, working with a pro hair stylist and video cameramen. Afterward, your parents, friends and everyone on campus can see your professional-quality videos online. You will look good to potential employers, too. If you are ready to give your career a boost by sharing what you know in a professional way, Create a Profile now.
We Pay You in 2 Ways
If you are selected, you will be compensated in two ways: We pay you for every "Create a How-to form" you complete. The amount we pay students varies by the topic and is shown in the list below.
At your video shoot, a short video is created (and in which you will appear) for every form you submitted and we pay you $40 for each of these videos.
Athletes Choose Video Topics
Athletes are able to choose what their videos are about from any of 2,100 sports training topics, categorized by sport. Topics are usually fundamental sports concepts that are easy to explain if you have played on a sports team.
A preview of topics available to athletes is below...
Speaking vs. Non-Speaking Roles
Some athletes feel comfortable speaking on camera and others do not. During your first video shoot, we tend to prefer choosing topics in which you physically demonstrate a technique, rather than speaking roles. Exceptions are made for videos that discuss training gear - which require athletes to talk about how to choose the gear on camera.
